Instructor: Dr. Amelia Orta
Meeting Description:
Reducing and preventing complications associated with our restorative dental treatment is a top priority for clinicians and patients. Biomimetic dentistry provides clinicians the opportunity to minimize the reduction of tooth structure and provide our patients the opportunity to retain their own natural teeth for longer periods of time, delaying or preventing tooth loss. This presentation will discuss the basics of biomimetic dentistry, preparation considerations, material selection and adhesive techniques that can be readily implemented in your daily restorative and prosthodontic practices.
Learning Objectives Session 1:- Understand what is biomimetic dentistry
- Understand various factors that influence preparation design
- Understand material selection for indirect restorations
Learning Objectives Session 2:
- Understand various concepts of advanced adhesive dentistry including immediate dentin sealing
- Understand various cementation techniques for adhesively retained restorations
