Town Hall/Coordinating Meeting for July 10th Hearing
The DC Dental Society is organizing a meeting to coordinate testimony for the July 10 hearing before the DC Council Committee on Health regarding the Dental Specialties Licensure and Scope of Practice Amendment Act of 2023 (B25-0632). We seek dentists who are willing to testify on either of the following two issues related to the legislation:
- Oppositing the proposal to establish a specialty license with board certification as a requirement.
- Advocating for an expanded authorization to allow all dentists to administer neurotoxins (e.g., Botox® Cosmetic) for cosmetic as well as dental purposes.
