Meeting Description:

We know that successful businesses are driven by people. And no leadership function is more critical than the ability to effectively attract, motivate and retain qualified team members. That process begins with improving the recruiting and interviewing process in today’s challenging labor market race—and once hired, knowing how to keep the team engaged.

The science of recruiting and interviewing will be discussed, along with examples of job postings and a few legal points to be aware of.

Learning Objectives:
  • How to avoid common recruiting and hiring mistakes
  • Elements of effective job postings to attract talent
  • Key interviewing guidelines, including areas to stay away from
  • Effective interview questions and techniques
Session 2: After the Hire: onboarding, engaging, and retaining team members

Learning Objectives:
  • Effective ways to onboarding a new hire
  • Beyond 90 days: engaging and retaining a high performing team

experience in the medical field and owning her own business, Robyn was able to
translate her business and management skills into helping other dental practices
grow and thrive. Her in-office positions have included being a marketing director,

development specialist. At last count, she has worked with over 300 practices so
far.
Currently, Robyn is an HR consultant with Bent Ericksen & Associates, Director of

owner of RJR Dental Management. She has authored numerous articles on
practice management, makes guest appearances on industry podcasts, and
lectures across the country on HR, employment compliance, and effective phone
skills. When she’s not talking dentistry, Robyn enjoys time with her 22-year-old
son, 19-year-old daughter, and 14-year-old rescue mutt who is fascinated by
squirrels. She calls Northeast Ohio home
